Sports Physiotherapy

Sports physiotherapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy that focuses on the prevention, assessment, and treatment of sports-related injuries. It helps athletes and physically active individuals recover safely and return to their sport at optimal performance levels.

It commonly treats conditions such as ligament sprains, muscle strains, tendon injuries, joint dislocations, and overuse injuries. Sports physiotherapists also work on injury prevention by identifying muscle imbalances, poor movement patterns, and weaknesses.

Treatment includes manual therapy, sports-specific rehabilitation exercises, taping techniques, strength and conditioning programs, and flexibility training. The main goal is to restore strength, improve performance, and reduce the risk of future injuries.
