Pediatric Physiotherapy

Paediatric physiotherapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy that focuses on the physical development and movement of infants, children, and adolescents. It helps children who have delays in motor skills, congenital conditions, or physical disabilities.
It is commonly used to manage conditions such as cerebral palsy, developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, torticollis, and coordination disorders. Paediatric physiotherapists assess posture, balance, strength, and movement patterns to support a child’s growth and independence.
Treatment often includes play-based exercises, balance and coordination training, strength-building activities, and gait training. The main goal is to improve mobility, enhance physical development, and help children participate confidently in daily activities at home and school.
